Yudi managed to get me back playing football for a category 3 team Royston Town F.C. at a standard I didn’t think I would ever play at. After playing football for my under 18s club, I unfortunately tore my anterior cruciate ligament (ACL). After having an MRI scan, I was booked in for an operation to reconstruct the ACL from a hamstring graft.
I was lucky enough to have the full support from my sports college team throughout the process. Yudi was assigned with the tough task of getting me back on the pitch. Yudi went above and beyond, working around the clock, to set up five stages, stage one being the start and stage five being back on the pitch playing football. Yudi learnt new methods and techniques, in his own time, to do all he could to help me get back playing.
Not only did Yudi help me physically, he helped me mentally. I came to Yudi feeling like I would never get back playing football. I left the first session with a completely different mindset, I had targets & goals to hit.
Yudi guided me on what food and drinks to eat, and explained to me that nutrition was just as important as the workouts were.

From the very start my personal trainer (Yudi) invested the appropriate time and effort in a completely frank, transparent and non-judgemental assessment of my then current state, what I wanted to achieve and how I preferred to achieve this. Throughout this initial and ongoing weekly reviews/discussions incremental (and most importantly achievable) goals, tasks and milestones are agreed, worked and measured with the successes being celebrated. Yudi is excellent at making sure that all elements of the programme are within my scope while still being challenging enough to achieve the desired improvements. This optimised balancing is a massive positive for me as it not only feels like I’m progressing psychologically every week, but I can also feel it in my improved sense of well being as well as the tangible results measured after the week 4 “weigh in” that reinforced the benefits achieved so far.
Having never previously utilised the services of a performance trainer I wasn’t sure how this would work, especially remotely. However the personalised on line training session along with the quality online and telco check ins make this a very comfortable and productive experience. Yudi’s talent and experience allow him to get just the right balance of being an available and supportive coach (i.e. he avoids venturing to either extremes of being a pushover who leaves your progress all up to you on the one hand and being an over pushy Sergeant major type on the other). I’ve already realised how lucky I am to be a recipient of such an excellent service and with the current/ongoing lockdown situation across the country, I really cannot believe my luck at having the services of Choice Performance already locked in for the upcoming months.
In summary I have found that the programme has been completely tailored to suit my needs and concerns. Also in my eating, drinking and exercise habits and routines which has improved the quality of my sleep and my general mood and outlook. As an added bonus I have also lost some excess weight that needed to go and muscled up in areas of my body that I wanted to strengthen. I would therefore thoroughly recommend this programme to anyone who is interested in improving their wellbeing, but especially to those who like may be in a stressful job with limited time and resources available to change their situation.”

Healing looks like different things for different people. For me it’s all quite messy, tangled up like a Christmas light jumble. Accepting where my body is atm vs. the overwhelming urgency to get to the finish line already.
It’s thanks to Yudi - his skill and patience - that have helped me take my game to another, achievable healthy level. Setting the right goals, reframing my mindset & perspective on my goals, and cultivating trust in the practise I never had when I was punishing my body with starvation and extreme workouts. The balance of a plate & the smart way to push a fitness session are just the tip of the attributes he brings to the table.
